NORTH SHORE GIVE

Life on Kaua‘i’s remote North Shore comes with challenges. Emergency services are extremely limited: just one fire station, one police station, and two EMS/ambulance units cover the entire region. The area has no hospital and only one urgent care facility.

To strengthen community well-being and resilience, North Shore Give focuses on expanding medical services at Makana North Shore Urgent Care (the Gift of Health initiative), training residents in disaster preparedness and response (North Shore Ready), and supporting other nonprofits through North Shore Give Week.

Beyond this serious mission, North Shore Give also believes in the joy of bringing people together, celebrating health, fun, and community connection with programs like the annual Ohana FitFest Obstacle Fun Run/Walk which blends fun and fitness, the only leash-free dog park in the area is our North Shore Barkyard, and the annual North Shore Give Auction & Gala.
